About Angelic Suds
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been interested in natural remedies and healthy alternatives. Throughout my life, I’ve been intrigued with scents, textures, tastes, sounds, and bright colors. I love music, photography, cooking, and making things, all of which appeals to my creative side. I suspect these are traits inherited from my very talented mother.
Before I was born, my mother competed in men’s and women’s stunt car competitions. She learned to ride a motorcycle when it was rare activity for women. She wanted to play an instrument, so she learned to play the saxophone in her thirties. She introduced me to Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass while I was still bouncing in a "Johnny Jumper."
In her forties, Mom entered cosmetology school. Given her perfectionist tendencies and natural flair for styling hair, she became a very good hairdresser in high demand.
She was exceptionally talented with crafts. She could look at something and figure out how it was made, then turn around and make it herself. She knitted and crocheted beautiful Afghans, doilies, slippers, etc. She enjoyed making flower arrangements, centerpieces, and an endless list of items. Some of my special treasures are homemade Christmas trees she made from wire hangers, garlands, and lights. I suppose we can safely assume that I got my creativity from my mother.
My mother had beautiful skin and she passed that on to me as well, so I do what I can to keep my skin healthy. I’m also mindful of tending to the general health of my body. When my creative side met my naturalist side, I became interested in making Cold Process soaps from scratch. I like having control of what goes into the products that I use on my body. I like knowing those ingredients are natural and gentle on my skin. I search out high quality natural oils and butters to create a bar of soap that doesn’t feel like “bar soap.” I use natural ingredients to create a longer lasting bar that provides you with a clean lather and the perfect balance of creamy silkiness to moisturize and condition your skin.
Five years ago, my mother left this earth. She is the inspiration for the name, “Angelic Suds,” and I dedicate this site to her memory.

A portion of our profits will be donated to Footprints, Incorporated's Heroes Home. Their goal is to help raise awareness for homeless veterans, find them jobs, and provide a support system to help them get back on their feet again.
