Snyder's Side: Article 7
Land Of The Who?
Once again, a group in this town decides that free speech doesn't have to be responsible speech. While it's my sworn duty to "protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic" I do take issue with people that think they have some sort of guarantee to be able to do just about anything they please in the name of free speech.
I heard about the JoCo (text excised) at Shawnee Mission West that took it upon themselves to rewrite the National Anthem. You know, just like the beer-swilling idiots at Arrowhead that think the last word of the National Anthem is "chiefs" -- they think it should be their school mascot. Isn't that cute? These precious little JoCo pampered brats, none of which have ever had to put their butts on the line to defend this country, think they have some god-given right to tailor something (that I believe deserves more respect than they've ever had to show to anyone or anything) to fit their own pitiful little needs, all in the name of free speech. I guess their parents (some of which are the idiots at Arrowhead) left out those lessons in respect that my parents (and many others, thankfully) gave me.
Take Care,
